So I was trying to sort out some interaction between build buildcraft and industrial craft with the use of the crystal power converter mod. turns out my attempt was an epic fail.
I am not sure if it is because I was lazy and installed the technic pack to get all the addons I wanted.
I am going to start fresh with a new install just the addons I want which is primarly just buildcraft, industrial craft and red power.
I might skip mo creatures as the rats have been pestering me lots.
if there are any other addons that you feel would be good then let me know.
I dont want to use too many items though as I find getting items that way is too easy and tempting.
